Throughout this website we have mentioned several specialist organisations that can offer advice and resources to enable you to be effective in caring for a traumatised child. 

Here are some national organisations that are based on Christian principals and a specific desire to bring hope to traumatised people in the UK:

TRC - Trauma recovery centre

A national network of those specialising in trauma recovery which signposts to trauma informed help and support.

A training organisation that delivers training on supporting traumatised children all over the UK and also facilitates safe places in schools across the UK.

Child Trauma Academy 

offers expertise on trauma and the impact on children through courses, books and newsletters.

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network

also has great resources for teachers and parents about trauma and supporting the traumatised child.

The Post Institute

helps traumatised children and young people. It is a ‘love-based family-centred approach to helping children with challenging behaviours’.


 

When we as churches seek to understand and grow in our knowledge and skills to help children and young people recover from trauma, we are not just impacting one life but can bring transformation to a community.
